Hypertherm

Hypertherm is a manufacturer of plasma and laser cutting equipment and systems used for cutting through steel and other metals. The simple horizontal cut through the bold, red, italic lettering illustrates the speed, nature and performance of the products. The cut through the initial “H” also forms a reversed-out “T”, which stands for the second part of (Hyper)Therm and can be used as an abbreviated name and trademark. The lower case “y” was substituted with an upside down “h” to lend unity to the name. The identity included a freestanding exterior sign for the headquarters building, with the logo cut out of a thick steel blade using Hypertherm equipment, packaging for parts, equipment marking, brochures and advertising formats, newsletters and service pins.
